LSHS & TWON in Lampasas River Watershed – Lampasas, TX

FREE Workshop for Landowners & Rural Residents!
Join the Lone Star Healthy Streams and Friends Workshop in Lampasas to learn practical ways to protect your land and water resources.
The Lone Star Healthy Streams, LSHS, and the Texas Well Owner Network, TWON, are hosting a whole watershed approach that allows residents to have their private well water screened, and/or soil samples tested, as well as provide education training for groundwater and surface water protection.  This event is hosted by the Lampasas River Watershed Partnership, Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. This event is open to the public and through several sponsors Breakfast AND Lunch provided + earn 2 IPM and 1 General CEU
Topics include:

  • Water Well Education
  • Managing Feral Hogs in Texas
  • Water Quality in the Lampasas River Watershed

FREE Water Well & Soil Testing!
See flyer for how to collect samples. Bring water samples to the Lampasas AgriLife Office (409 S. Pecan St.) from 8:30-10:30am on Nov. 19. (24 hr processing needed). Soil samples can be brought to the meeting on Nov. 20.

The workshop is offered as an educational component of the Lampasas River Watershed Protection Plan in collaboration with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas Water Resources Institute, and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB).
