LSHS – Geronimo&Alligator Creeks, Plum Creek, and Cibolo Creek Watersheds – Seguin, TX

A Lone Star Healthy Streams workshop will be held on September 12th at the Big Red Barn (390 CORDOVA RD SEGUIN, TX 78155).

The free event is open to the public and will run from 8:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a sponsored lunch for all attendees.

This workshop will focus on watershed health and best management practices for grazing lands in watersheds. It will include an in-depth discussion of water quality planning, brush management, and feral hogs 

The workshop will spotlight multiple watershed in the area: Geronimo & Alligator Creeks, Plum Creek, Cibolo Creek watersheds spanning over Caldwell, Hays, Guadalupe, Comal, Bexar, Wilson and Karnes counties

The workshop is offered as an educational component of the Watershed Protection Plans in collaboration with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas Water Resources Institute, Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority, and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB).

Funding for this effort is provided through a Clean Water Act Section 319(h) nonpoint source grant administered by the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  Partial sponsorship by Corteva Pasture and Rangeland.
